MEMORIAL BRICKS

Since its completion in 2007, the Port Washington Fire/EMS Memorial has paid tribute to the past, present, and future members of the Port Washington Fire Department. As the Department begins a new chapter with the construction of a combined Public Safety Building, the memorial will be relocated to ensure it remains in a prominent and accessible setting that honors the dedication, service, and sacrifice of those who have protected the community for generations.

At this joint facility, the memorial will be expanded to also recognize the legacy of the law enforcement officers who serve the City and reflect the shared commitment of all first responders who protect the community.

A limited opportunity is being offered to purchase personally engraved legacy bricks that will be permanently displayed within the memorial. These bricks allow members, families, and organizations to leave a lasting tribute while supporting this important project. All current legacy bricks will be carefully moved and incorporated into the memorial. The Port Washington Fire/EMS Association reserves the right to refuse any brick order based on content, language, or appropriateness.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will support public safety initiatives in the community and the ongoing maintenance of the memorial. Installation of new bricks is anticipated in fall 2026.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What size bricks are available?
Three sizes of bricks are available. A 4-inch × 8-inch brick accommodates up to 3 lines of text with 14 characters per line. A larger 8-inch × 8-inch brick accommodates up to 6 lines of text with 14 characters per line. An 8-inch × 8-inch brick is also available for logo engraving and includes space for 2 lines of text with 14 characters per line. Each character, space, and punctuation mark counts toward the 14-character limit and must be entered one box at a time on the order form.

What is the cost of a brick?
The 4-inch × 8-inch brick costs $100, the 8-inch × 8-inch brick costs $200, and the 8-inch × 8-inch logo-engraved brick costs $300. The price of each brick includes engraving and installation.

I want a logo brick, where do I send the images?
Logo images can be emailed to portfirerescue@gmail.com and will be reviewed and forwarded to the manufacturer to confirm they can be properly engraved.

How do I place an order?

When are you accepting orders until?
Orders will be accepted until March 16, 2026.

When will it be installed?
Manufacturing typically takes 4 to 8 weeks, and installation of the new bricks is anticipated in fall 2026 prior to the Fire Department Open House and Grand Opening.
