EDUCATION REIMBURSEMENT


The Port Washington Fire/EMS Association recognizes the important role that advanced EMS providers play in the ongoing success of the Port Washington Fire Department. Both the time and financial commitments of paramedic education are substantial. To help offset these expenses, the Port Washington Fire/EMS Association has established an education reimbursement program. Each year, two applicants who has successfully completed paramedic training will be awarded a one-time sum of $2,000 for tuition reimbursement. The recipient will be required to provide 2 years of active service to the Port Washington Fire Department and remain in good standing.
REQUIREMENTS
- The applicant must have completed EMT-Paramedic training and National Registry certification within the last calendar year.
- The applicant must complete an online tuition reimbursement application found below.
- The applicant must undergo an interview with members of the Port Washington Fire/EMS Association.
- The applicant must pass a background investigation and complete all hiring requirements established by Port Washington Fire Department. This may consist of, but is not limited to, contacting previous employers and references.
